Feastem – Graveyard Earth (Lixiviat Records) [Grindcore]

About time for these plutonium powered grinders to return. If you dig your grind tight like a maiden fair, Feastem’s your pick and the only way you could be disappointed would be if you too erroneously expected “Kurjuuden Kuningas” to be a Tuomari Nurmio cover. 3/13/20 (Karhu)
Rotting Kingdom – A Deeper Shade of Sorrow (Godz ov War Productions) [Death Doom]

Gloomy and miserable death/doom that doesn’t rely entirely on the sadboi way, or put all their charges on the melodies. It’s good, pretty dynamic, has a great cover art and vocalist Anton Escobar’s strong gutturals are deeper than this end of the genre usually entails. Recommended. 3/13/20 (Karhu)
Black Sword Thunder Attack – March of the Damned (No Remorse Records) [Heavy Metal]

If that stupendous name alone isn’t enough to get you going I don’t want to know you. But I want you to know that this Greek heavy metal band reminiscent of old Warlord and maybe a bit of Lordian Guard kicks (your) ass. 3/13/20 (Karhu)
Ergodic – Ergodic (Independent) [Tech Death]

If you’re looking for some aggressive tech, then you want Ergodic– this is the good shit. It’s reminiscent of Deviant Process, albeit a little more melodic, almost like that first Beyond Creation album in a few ways (sans whale song bass). This is a hell of a debut, and I’m going to need more from these guys ASAP. 3/9/20 (Spear)
