I know you’re going to listen to all those bands mentioned in the intro anyway, so let’s talk about another release that you should keep an eye on. Wayward Down is a hell of a lot dumber and dirtier than the aforementioned acts, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. This is prime knuckle-dragging material, kicking off with big riffs and a half-time four-on-the-floor beat that ramps up into a moshfest partway through. It’s simple fun that doesn’t need to be anything more. 9/9/22 (Spear)
