Video Premiere: Wraith – Cloaked in Black

Once you’re cloaked in black, you never go back.

Fans of Redefining Darkness Records and anyone who knows their blackened thrash will no doubt have taken note of the third full-length by Indiana’s dastardly devils Wraith. Once again staying true to their credo of “no bullshit speed & thrash metal,” the Joe-approved killer quartet draws inspiration from evil’s early days (i.e. Motörhead and their direct descendants) and updates the sound to deliver savage and sinister rocking thrash by the bucketful.

Just last month, the band was fortunate enough to play a gig in LA together with DRI, Exmortus, Nasty Savage, and others. Footage of the night went into the video for “Cloaked in Black,” which we’re happy to premiere for you today.

It’s readily apparent that a blast was had on and off the stage. Quoth the band about the event:

The LA crowd defines our fans. They were unhinged, aggressive, and electric, just like Wraith. “Cloaked” was the first single off the new record and felt like the song was perfect for a video because it showcases all the sides of Undo the Chains.

Undo the Chains is available now via Redefining Darkness. Get it here and follow the band here to see if you can catch them live yourself!
