Sadistic Ritual – The Enigma, Boundless (Prosthetic Records) [Thrash]

Sadistic Ritual continues to be one of my favorite thrash bands in the modern scene. Though the songs presented so far are of a more mid-tempo feel than the frantic pace of Edge of the Knife and Visionaire of Death, they more than make up for it in the raw evil feel of the tunes. I am hoping for some songs with a little more complex fretwork, but even if they’re not present, the menacing vibe of the album so far is shaping up to be a compelling listen. 5/20/22 (Spear)
