This Toilet Tuesday (8/18/20)
It’s Toilet Tuesday time, and most importantly, it’s Unleash the Archers week. There’s some other good stuff on the way this week of course, too, but that one’s taking up all my music excitement. Be sure to check out the rest of the list, though, as there’s definitely more good to be heard.
Deimler – Zero One (Awakening Records) [Death Metal]

Death metal that you listen to and say, “Hey, that’s pretty good death metal.” This is fairly straightforward HM2-driven death metal that takes heavily after old Finnish death metal, tempering the weirdness inherent to that sound with a smattering of riffs in the style of Morbid Angel and Avulsed (closing out the album on a cover of the latter). While it doesn’t break any new ground, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have fun with it. 8/21/20 (Spear)
