Tungs10 – Wandering Around The World: A Video Breakdown
I need Tungs10 to live. Tungs10!
Steampunk is an interesting pop culture subgenre. The alternate timeline, retrofuturistic style has managed to make it’s way in to literature, television, movies, video games, pro-wrestling, and more. The one place it hasn’t really broken in to all that much is music, particularly metal. For a genre of music that won’t bat an eye at dragons, orcs, goblins, or Mortiis, steampunk seems to be lacking. Until now.
Tungs10 are a steampunk metal band. I know this because they helpfully mentioned it on their Youtube video title. More bands need to do that. It’s eye-catching and saves us all a lot of Googling and searching on Metal-Archives. Hailing from Morlaix, Finistère, France, Tungs10 are influenced by “Amaranthe, Lacuna Coil, In Flames, BlackBriar, Epica, Alter bridge.” What, no Jules Verne or H.G. Wells? Tsk tsk. Those guys knew how to bring the mosh. Regardless, adjust your trifocals, oil your gears, and let’s break it down.
Aw, no one told me there was going to be reading. Damn you, Gail Carriger!
Hey, who let The Nothing from The NeverEnding Story in here?
I can’t wait to see her take on Rhonda Rousey and Charlotte Flair at this year’s Wrestlemania.
I want every band that shoots a video in an empty warehouse or in front of a green screen to look at this shot and then hang their head in shame.
You vape. We get it.
The only way to scratch your neckbeard if a Star Wars action figure isn’t available.
This could also double as an ad for beard oil.
A stronger breeze and she won’t even need steam-power to fly.
Nice first date, Pierre. Maybe tomorrow you can give her polio.
Tungs10’s album The Lost Manuscript is out now.
