Philadelphia blackened thrash crusties Atomic Cretins are set to release their new EP this weekend, and we’re happy to give you an exclusive first glance at the full thing.
Highlights include…pretty much the whole dang EP. I find “Out of the Coffin” and “Dig Your Own Grave” particularly pleasant, but really, from the growling bass tone to the blackened vocals, across thrashy riffs and rollicking d-beats, there’s nary a second wasted here. On top of all that, Atomic Cretins also find time for some social commentary.
You can get a digital copy of Spiritual Cancer on the band’s Bandcamp page tomorrow and the tape via Suicide Bong on Saturday. That day, there’s also a release show together with fellow Wartrockers Zorn and others, so if you’re in the Philadelphia area, seven bucks will buy you entrance and a tape.
