Behold: Tuesday. Things are looking bleak here in the ol’ US of A (more so than usual, anyway), and the stars have aligned to give us a suite of new releases that match the vibe. Not to say that they’re bad- quite the opposite- but that if you’re looking for feel-good jams, you might want to come back next week. Anyway, here’s music.
Liminal Shroud – Visions of Collapse (Willowtip Records) [Black Metal]
Roldy gassed this one up a bit back in his “Nucleonic Blight” premiere, but I figure a reminder is in order with its impending release. Liminal Shroud stitch together gloom and determination with immaculate musicianship, with phenomenal production to boot. An easy and hearty recommendation for anyone who likes their atmospheric music to have more substance to the actual music, if you catch my meaning.
